AVESAIR LAUNCHES MATCH

Avesair MATCH Helps Carriers Increase Customer Retention and Average Revenue Per User

Research Triangle Park, N.C. - April 30, 2001 - Avesair, a leading provider of carrier-class mobile application software, unveiled technology designed to increase customer retention and average revenue per user (ARPU) for wireless carriers. MATCH provides mobile operators and wireless networks with the tools they need to schedule and deliver relevant content, commerce and marketing messages to all manner of wireless devices, including cell phones, PDA's, Symbian devices, and more.

According to Cahners In-Stat Group, the wireless data market will grow from 170 million subscribers worldwide in 2000 to greater than 1.3 billion in 2004. Developing long-lasting relationships with these users will depend on carriers' ability to integrate with them by offering relevant messages. Through an open, scalable and modular architecture, MATCH integrates directly with a carrier's infrastructure and gleans information from subscriber databases. This information ranges from geographic and demographic data to declared subscriber interests. Using a rules-based engine, MATCH automates the delivery of personalized content so that it fits a user's profile, supplying information to the right person, at the right time, and at the right place.

"Carriers have an enormous opportunity to control their own destinies by extending the types of quality services they offer to subscribers, and Avesair's MATCH is the software to help them do this," said Kimo Kong, president, Avesair. "MATCH helps increase customer retention by delivering extremely targeted loyalty programs through all aspects of wireless communication, including data, voice, and the Internet."

MATCH Respects Privacy Concerns, Flexibility Insures Technology Growth
MATCH gives carriers complete control over their ability to interact with their customers and ensures that subscriber data is kept safe and not shared with third-parties. This ensures consumer privacy, a primary issue with regards to the carrier/subscriber relationship. It also provides complete, real-time access to information crucial to the success of wireless marketing initiatives.

In addition, MATCH has been designed to be highly flexible. This has been done so that it is easily integrated into carriers' current suite of mobile applications, while at the same time providing them with the freedom to expand upon those applications as the market grows and evolves.

"Avesair's goal of putting control of subscriber communications in the hands of the carriers is unique within the industry," said Peter Buhl, partner, Nokia Venture Partners. "MATCH is crucial software for carriers seeking to capitalize on the huge opportunities that wireless marketing offers in terms of increased revenue and the maintenance of solid subscriber relationships."

Avesair will be selling MATCH both internationally and domestically. For more information, please call (919) 678-8181, send e-mail to info@avesair.com, or visit www.avesair.com.
