Bluerun Ventures Announces Promotion of Three Partners

Promotions complete the team and give the firm a unique global perspective

 

Menlo Park, Calif. (December 14, 2005) - BlueRun Ventures (www.brv.com), a global venture capital fund, today announced the promotion of Sujit Banerjee, Yossi Hasson and Kwan Yoon to Partner. Sujit Banerjee is heading the fund's India activities, Yossi Hasson is in charge of the fund's Israeli activities and Kwan Yoon is overseeing the firm's Korea activities.

"These promotions complete our team and give BlueRun Ventures a unique global perspective in key technology markets for our investment areas," said John Malloy, Partner for BlueRun Ventures. "Their promotion reflects their long contribution to the firm and our belief in the value of promoting partners from within our global organization."

In addition, BlueRun Ventures' Korea office has increased its focus and activity with the addition of Jung-Joon Hwang as an Investment Director. Jung-Joon Hwang brings extensive experience in venture capital investment in Korea, having served as an investment professional at both local and global venture capital/private equity firms (KTB and CDIB). Prior to joining the VC community, Jung-Joon worked in the R&D division of LG-EDS, a leading IT firm in Korea. Mr. Hwang completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto (engineering) and attended H.U.F.S (Korea), for his graduate studies.

The fund also added Sean Park as an Analyst for the Menlo Park office. Sean comes to the firm with extensive experience in financial industry, most recently at Silicon Valley Bank.
