Peter Buhl

Peter Buhl, Partner, co-founded BlueRun Ventures and is based in Menlo Park. Pete's investments span the IT spectrum from wireless and enterprise solutions to semiconductors and systems.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of 3i Systems, FreedomPay, Wavemarket and Zmanda. Previous board experience includes PayPal (EBAY), Netli (AKAM) and Pogo (ERTS).

Prior to starting the firm, Pete had 12 years of operations and finance experience in venture backed companies, including executive positions with Ipsilon Networks and Software Alliance Corp. Pete started his career at Price Waterhouse and holds a B.S. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Andrew Chen

Andrew Chen is a Partner with BlueRun China. He joined the firm in 2005 and is based in Shanghai. Andrew focuses on internet consumer services, wireless and semiconductor investments.

Andrew is on the Board of Directors of Fangjia, Inker and Innofidei. Previous board involvement includes Pica and PPLive.

Prior to joining BlueRun China, Andrew worked for Silicon Storage Technologies in Shanghai as a business director for the Special Products Group. Previously Andrew was a management consultant in McKinsey & Company's Shanghai office, where he consulted with mobile, airline, semiconductor, consumer goods and software clients on strategy, organization and management process issues. Andrew also worked as an IC designer at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies microelectronics division, where he applied for U.S. patents on innovative circuit designs.

Andrew received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Yale University and B.S. degree in Physics from University of Science & Technology of China.


Jonathan Ebinger

Jonathan Ebinger, Partner, joined BlueRun Ventures in September 2000 and is based in Menlo Park. He focuses on communications, media, and mobility opportunities.

Jonathan serves on the Board of Directors of Availink, Coupa, Fwix, Innofidei, Motally, and @hand. Past board experience includes Avesair (INPC), Enpocket (NOK), Lightningcast (TWX) and Varolii.

Jonathan has 15 years of marketing and finance experience in the telecommunications industry. Previous experience includes Vice President of Marketing for Qwest Communications, and senior level positions at Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions and MCI Communications. In addition, Jonathan founded and successfully exited Simply Savings, Inc., an Internet shopping service.

He received his M.B.A. from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, and holds a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech.
Antti Kokkinen

Antti Kokkinen, Partner, co-founded BlueRun Ventures and is based in Helsinki, where he covers technology aspects of all investments.

Antti serves on the Board of Directors of Frontier Silicon, Muzicall, SiliconBlue Technologies, WAZE, Advasense and bTendo. Previous board experience includes Bitfone (HPQ), Cerebra (WEBM), Freedompay, Oplayo and WiderThan (WTHN, acquired by Real Networks (RNWK) for $350M).

Prior to joining BlueRun Ventures, Antti had more than 12 years of technology and business development experience within Nokia, including two internal start-ups and establishing the Nokia Boston site. Antti received his M.B.A. and M.S. (EE) from Helsinki University of Technology.

John Malloy, Partner, co-founded BlueRun Ventures and is based in Menlo Park. John has successfully invested in a broad spectrum of technologies and services.

John currently serves on the Board of Directors of FusionOne, Kilopass, Motally, Slide, Varolii, TopFans, Topsy, and Sepo Media (Zivity). Previous board experience includes PayPal (EBAY), Bitfone (HPQ), eVoice (AOL) and MongoMusic (MSFT).

Prior to starting the firm, John spent more than 15 years in management and executive roles at Nokia, MCI and a communications services start-up. He holds a J.D. from George Mason School of Law and a B.A. from Boston College.

Jui Tan

Jui Tan is a Partner with BlueRun China. He joined the firm in March 2001. He focuses on communications, software and semiconductor investments.

Jui is currently on the board of 3i Systems, Agape Package Manufacturing, Availink, Good Media, MMIM Technologies (PICA) and Synacast (PPlive). Previous board involvement includes Kilopass Technologies and SiliconBlue.

Jui has 15 years of experience managing international investments and operations. Previous experience includes Director of Global Service Development at Singapore Telecom, responsible for SingTel's managed data and voice services globally, and engineering management positions at IBM, focusing on computing and networking systems.

Jui received his B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and M.B.A. from the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.



Kwan Yoon

Kwan Yoon, Partner, joined BlueRun Ventures in 2000 and is based in Menlo Park. He focuses on mobile and new media, primarily in Korea and Silicon Valley.

Kwan currently serves on the Board of Directors of HK Hi-Tech, HI-DIS, Silicon Works, and Vantage Holdings. Kwan spearheaded investments in Widerthan (RNWK) and Wavemarket.

Prior to joining BlueRun Ventures, Kwan worked in project finance in Belgium and France, e-commerce and biotechnology in Hong Kong, Japan and Korea, and private equity in the U.S.

Kwan received his B.A. in Economics and M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
